2018 Portland Business Journal Small Business Innovation Award Winner

In 2014, Trevor Dryer and William Beaver founded Mirador to solve the funding problem many small businesses are facing. While there are many options when seeking credit, the process and the industry can be confusing, frustrating, and clouded. Mirador started because small business owners needed more accessible and transparent credit options. We've since expanded our platform to better serve the whole ecosystem, from the borrower to lender and beyond.

“Financial institutions have modernized many facets of their business operations, but small business lending has been a hold out for too long,” said Carol Glover, Chief Revenue Officer at Mirador. “There should never be a reason that a small business needs to look outside of their bank to obtain capital from alternative lenders. Mirador is using small business lending innovation to positively impact communities around the country and their economies. As a technology partner, Mirador enables financial institutions to offer an elegant, intelligent and secure small business lending experience that enhances the borrower relationship, creates process efficiencies and provides actionable insights for lenders to better understand and predict borrower behavior.”

Since 2014, Mirador has processed over $1.3 billion in loan requests for small businesses. Locally, serving more than 200 borrowers in the greater Oregon/Washington metro-area business community.

Mirador has implemented its white-label platform with regional, mid-sized, and community banks, credit unions, CDFI's and other mission-based lenders all over the country - serving small businesses with fast and convenient access to credit. Institutions currently using Mirador's digital small business lending platform include Umpqua Bank, NYBDC, Zions Bank, Hanmi Bank, First Foundation and Tompkins Financial, among others.

Industry leaders have recognized Mirador's powerful, small business lending platform as an outstanding achievement in financial services innovation. Mirador was named a finalist for LendIt's 2018 Industry FinTech Industry Awards as a Top Small Business Lending Platform. Mirador also won the Barlow Research 2014 Annual Conference Innovation Showcase. We are being asked to speak at many events in the lending space, among them American Banker's Small Business Banking Conference. We are frequently called upon for our perspective on lending, financial regulation, fintech, and banking.
